Enter a world of Knights,Damsels, Horses, Dragons and Buried Treasure There will be a whole range of children’s activities, taking place throughout the day. These have been selected firstly to be exciting and fun but also teach something of life in the middle ages and the history of the area......OK we admit hitting a large fully armoured but defenceless and good natured knight with your wooden sword isn’t really educational.......but it is totally irresistible! Dress in a Knight’s tabard and steel helmet and take a ride on the actual Medieval Battlefield on a real knight’s charger Follow in the footsteps of Robin of Redesdale and try archery with a longbow or crossbow Dress as Knight or Damsel, take your lance in your hand, and try jousting on Wilfred the Wooden Warhorse. Help to build a medieval timber framed house Bash the Knight - attack a fully armoured Knight with your sword Paint your own coat of arms on a shield Cheer for the Dragon?……. as the heavily armoured but not very bright St George attacks various endangered species.   Plus Dragon Puppet,Theatre storytelling and much more September 11th & 12th 2010 &  Battle of Edgcote 1469 My son (9) and I attended your tournament last Sunday and I wanted to write and say how fantastic we found it. We did not arrive until about 2pm on the Sunday and I was worried the  gate price and small amount of time left would mean it would be a costly disappointment. How wrong I was. We were in time to see some of the Team combat and especially the horse jousting which we both found so exciting. That alone and the tents set up with so much to see would have made it worthwhile, so to have the actual battle re- enactment was such a treat – Visitor Conversation heard on the way out – 'But you didn't want to come this morning! - Yes, but I didn't know it was going to be so good then!'   Feedback from last years event
